Keith Donovan, Biographie 2007

 

Keith Donovan est nee a Edmonton, Canada, a etudier au Vancouver School of Art et courament vie et travaille a Jouhet en France. Apres d’avoir collabore avec le Western Front a Vancouver il a demenager a Geneve en 1982 ou il a beneficier d’un bourse et un residence offert par le Musee D’Art et D’Histoire. A Geneve il a fait deux ans de perfectionnement a l’Ecole Superieure des Arts Visuels.

 

Autres residences sont au Centro de Sperimentazione Artistiche a Boissano en Italie (1985), Centre des Arts de Banff, Canada (1990), Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris (1996-98), et l’URDLA, Centre Internationale de l’Estampe a Lyon, (2004 et 2006).

 

Parmi ses expos personelles on trouve Apartment, Geneve,1982,  Palais d’Athenee, Geneve 1989, Bob van Orsouw, Zurich 1990, Paul Kasmin, New York 1991 et 1993, Catriona Jeffries, Vancouver 1996, Michel Foex, Geneve 1999 et 2005 Mayers, Aebel & McHale, Paris 2003. Quelques  expositions de groupe: Vancouver Art Gallery (1983), Mars Gallery, Tokyo (1992), Curt Marcus, New York (1996), le Musee d’Art Moderne et Contemporaine, Geneve (1996) et Factor 44, Anvers (Belgique) 2000. Biography Keith Donovan 2006

 

Keith Donovan was born in Edmonton, Canada, studied at the Vancouver School of Art, and currently lives and works in a small village in central France. After collaborating with the Western Front in Vancouver he moved to Geneva in 1982 on a residency grant from the Musee D’Art et D’Histoire. In Geneva he did post-grad work at the Ecole Superieure des Arts Visuels.

 

Other residencies include International Center for Artistic Experimentation in Boissano, Italy (1985), Banff Center for the Arts, Canada, (1990), Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris (1996-98) and URDLA Centre Internationale de l’Estampe, Lyon, (2004 and 2006).

 

His single shows include Ruine, Geneva (1987), the Palais d’Athenee in Geneva (1989) two with Paul Kasmin in New York, (1991-92), Bob Van Orsouw gallery in Zurich (1991), Mayers Aebel & McHale in Paris (2003) and two with Michel Foex, in Geneva, (1999, 2005). Group exhibitions include the Vancouver Art Gallery (1983), Mars Gallery in Tokyo (1992), Curt Marcus Gallery in New York (1996), the Musee d’Art Moderne et Contemporaine in Geneva (1996) and Factor 44, Antwerp (2000). Public collections include Vancouver Art Gallery, MAMCO in Geneva, Fond des Decorations Genevoises in Geneva, Fundacio Cultural Televisa in Mexico City, and the Thomas Amman Foundation in Zurich.
